Each week all the ladies in the group sent me a picture of their scale and I calculated each and every total.
This was so much fun!
The winner of the challenge was K. She lost a total of 30 lbs and 13.82% of her body weight. I am so proud of her!
I personally lost 9 lbs. I had a goal of 12 lbs so I still need to lose a few more. I lost a total of 6.43% of my body weight.
There was 20 girls to start out with and we lost 4 over the course of 8 weeks but together we lost 205 lbs. Isn't that incredible?! I am so proud of all of us. We kicked serious booty!!
If you are wanting to lose some weight and you have a few friends that want to as well I totally suggest that you start a Biggest Loser Challenge. The motivation and the help that a group can bring together is amazing and its the reason we all lost 200+ pounds!!
You can read more about the challenge here, here and here.

Wow, congrats to all of you!!!!! That's amazing!
Also, curious how the winner lost so much so quickly! please share :)
I would love to share. First I increased my H2o intake to about 80fl oz a day.I cut out sugar, soda, diet beverages and juices. I added a slice of lemon, lime or cucumber to water to flavor it. I decreased my carbs to between 20 and 25 net grams a day, with the bulk of those being vegetables. I lowered my calories to 1,100 a day, the bulk of those being protiens, ie. Eggs, peanut butter, almonds, fish, and chicken! I also increased my activity level to 5-6 45 min sessions of P90X, running, and Insanity, a week! The lbs didn't exactly melt off, there were two weeks when my weight didn't drop but a lb or so. But I had tremendous support from this group of wonderful women!

P90X, running the track and kickboxing. The lbs didn't just melt off, there was two weeks where I lost a lb or less. It was hard but I had tremendous support!
That is amazing! I want to lose a little weight - like 5-10 pounds. I definitely think that making it a challenge would make me mrs accountable (which would be a good thing). I have a tendency to overeat. It's my very unhealthy coping mechanism and unfortunately I have been using it too much these past few weeks. Not having any "me time" with two kids is draining and I have been using food to deal with those feelings (feeling overwhelmed and drained and frustrated).
Anywho - congrats on the weight loss. It is very impressive!
Found your blog via FTLOB for the first time. It's great! Congrats on the weight loss. Just so happens that my wife and I have been losing some weight this year. My wife has lost 100lbs since Oct and I have lost 28lbs. I'm disabled and I can't be as active as I'd like to be. So the loss is just through change of diet.
congrats!!! That's awesome!
Congrats!
I'm going to try to get back on track yet again on Monday.
Happy blogoversary :)
