Two years ago I was in labor with my daughter. Two years ago! It seems so hard to imagine. I can't believe she is 2 already!! And I am 26. So ...

This is Lila very scared and sad...

we found the Oragnatangs and Lila didn't like them one bit! Its because they were so close up. It scared her SO much! I felt bad but I wanted her to like them because they were so cute. Cousin Evan enjoyed them though :)

We took muffins and bananas to Uncle Micah's work today. And we got to see Aunt Amy and Grandma Sharon too :) It was fun. But the best part for Lila was when she got to draw all over Micah's papers!

wow!

Happy ETSY day to me.
In the last week I have gotten 4 orders from fellow etsians. Which equals to 13 items :) I am very excited and have made some extra cash to spend on Lila's big birthday bash!
I just was gushing with excitment and wanted to share. I am fairly new to Etsy and haven't had a lot of orders but now I am up to 20 items sold so far. Woo Hoo!!

potty update

Thursday afternoon she actually went in to the bathroom and sat on her potty all by herself. AND she really went potty too! She came running out yelling " I went potty!" I was shocked!!
Even when she is wearing a diaper or a pull up she still tells me when she needs to go.

Yesterday she did amazing as well. Went potty in the toilet 4 times! No accidents :) We haven't conquered pooping yet in the toilet but I am hoping to get thru that today. I'll let you know! She is so proud of herself. And I have a permanent smile on my face!

Whats next, a big girl bed??!!


P.S.

We went to Lowes yesterday so we had her in a pull up. She told me she needed to go and so I took her into the bathroom there. She went! It was her first public place and she did great.
YIPPY!!

pee pee in the potty!

Lila woke up this morning and I immediately put her in big girl underwear instead of a diaper. We are hanging around the house all day so I couldn't think of a better time to try potty training. She was dry for about 2 hours then while playing she screamed "mommy, i pee!" She must have stopped peeing when she realized what she was doing because after I ran her to the potty she finished! All of you mommies can understand how exciting this is for me. This is her first time going on the potty and she was beaming. I am so proud of her. She got a sticker and a huge hug and we did the happy dance. After her nap I am going to get her back in her underwear and see what happens.
I will let you know how the saga continues...

totally ticks me off tuesday

We met with a Realtor to see what our house might sell for if we were to put it up for sale. She came over today with all the numbers. I immediately wished that Mikey was there. I wanted to cry but I held my head up and took it all in. Turns out over 80% of houses for sale in our area are either foreclosures or short sales! So that means that we loose a lot. We are unfortunately counting on our equity. So looks like we will be hanging on to our little house for a bit longer. I just am so bummed because I really wanted to be in a bigger house. Specially with baby #2 on the way! *SIGH*

We went to Oaks Park for the Local 49 IBEW company picnic on Sunday. Lila got her face painted and she got to go on her very first amusment ride! She loved it so much :)

fever!

Guess who isn't feeling well...

Miss Lila woke up at 3 am crying. I brought her into bed with us and she fell asleep almost instantly. But she was up every half hour trying to get comfortable and then I noticed that she had a fever. I took her into the Dr first thing this morning. Everything looks good i.e. ears, nose, and throat but she still has this stinking fever. I don't know whether its teeth or its going to turn into something worse in a few days. In the mean time I have been snapping pictures of her looking miserable. We have been laying on the couch cuddling and just taking it easy. But I do have an interesting fact to share with all of you.

Lila weighs 22.4lbs WITH her diaper and pj's on! She is almost 2 and she weighs as much as most 12 month olds. She has an extremely healthy appetite and doesn't look under weight at all...so I guess I am pretty lucky. Its still so easy for me to pick her up!

Happy July everyone! July 30th is almost here :)
I am now counting down the days till my little miss turns 2...
oh and I turn 26 but mine went out the window when Lila was born!
I have made a draft invitation for her party and I am starting to put together ideas for themes. I am just not sure if I am going to do a theme or not...any suggestions? I love planning parties and I am having a hard time not going all out. Last year the weather was horrible and I was so disappointed so I am going to plan for rain and hope for sun :)

yesterday we went to the happy valley splash pad. we took cousin kiki and her friend and when we were not playing in the water we were lounging in the sun. lila was copying kiki and laying on her tummy. i thought it was a cute picture. what a sun bathing beauty!
