Lila has had a lot of sweet treats lately. For fathers day she had her first squirt of whipping cream and just yesterday she had an ice cream cone!

Today is my {blogoversary}!

Its officially been a year since I started this thing. Its hard to believe that time has gone that quickly. I am thrilled that I am getting more followers. I absolutely love this blog! Thanks to all the people who keep up with The McAulay Family :)

Oh and I must give a shout out to Micah and Amy...with out you guys I would have never started blogging!

special announcement

Well its official. We found out were pregnant again! Well technically I am the one who is pregnant...

We got an ultrasound on last Friday and we took Lila in with us. She sat there with me and saw the itty bitty baby on the screen and she smiled. I am not sure if she actually saw it because its about the size of an almond right now and not really shaped like a human yet but I can already tell she is going to be an amazing big sister. We got to see itty bitty's heartbeat on the screen too. {flicker flicker flicker} of the heart. That was an amazing sight. I can't wait till I get to hear it!

I am 7 weeks along and we found out a few weeks ago but I wanted to wait till it was confirmed with blood tests and an ultrasound. I am doing very well; no morning sickness or nausea but I am very tired! But that's probably because I am chasing Lila around everywhere :)

I will blog all about it as the time progresses.

Oh yeah and the baby is due the beginning of February. Thankfully it wont be another summer baby!!

SO...

Yesterday our fridge decided to take a {crap} on us. It was only 5 years old too...but it was cheap when we got it and we didn't want to shell out $500+ to get a repair tech out to fix it. So today we went to a few places to compare prices and check out the inventory. Standard TV and Appliance, Home Depot, Best Buy, Sears, Lowe's THEN back to Best Buy. They had to best deal and they had what we wanted in stock. I guess since the economy took a turn a lot of places don't carry stuff at the local warehouses. You have to special order then which takes at least 3 days. AND WE COULDN'T WAIT THAT LONG!

It was horrible...we had our milk and stuff in coolers!

So we ended spending a little over $800 on a new Whirlpool fridge. Its so much nicer then our old one and we now have water and an ice maker in the door!

and the bonus?!

it has a lock on the water and ice so Lila cant get to it! (its the perfect height for her to reach-talk about a HUGE mess!)

Yesterday, while I was doing some dishes, Lila snuck up on Rusty and attacked.
She put on a hawaiian lei and was brushing his hair!

I think secretly he loved the attention she was giving him...

prank call

We were all dead asleep at 1am last night when the house phone rang. It scared the crap out of me because I instantly thought EMERGENCY. I jumped up and ran into the living room and pick up the phone. "This is really important...really really important. I NEED the phone number to Safeway!" It took my mind a little to adjust because I didn't recognize the voice but I came to when all the little snickers and chuckles began. Then they hung up.
I got prank called people.
School is out and now all the little punk kids are up at all hours of the night picking random numbers to dial. Watch out, it could happen to you.
And I started laughing when I got back to bed...because I was once that punk kid!

birthday details

Lila's birthday (and mine, i forget) is on Thursday July 30th so were going to plan for a birthday party on Saturday August 1st. I know its a little early for details but its going to be at our place. Its giving us an excuse to fix up our backyard! So mark your calendars family and friends!! Its going to be a fun time. And hopefully better weather then last year!

puzzle video

Here is Lila putting her last peice of her puzzle together. Just recently she has begun to notice shapes and is able to put the pieces where they are supposed to be. Its amazing to see her do a puzzle. She is SO smart!
