new look

I got my hair chopped off yesterday. I really like it even though its a huge 180 from what I used to have. What do you guys think? I had to take a picture of all this hair. The lady told me that she cut off almost a foot! OMG.

washington park

Today Lila and I went to Washington Park to have a picnic and play.
We didnt stay a really long time because it was beginning to get hot and Lila was getting tired. Her favorite part was climbing up and down thos stairs!
I had never been there but I will definatly be back. It was such a cool place! I want to bring Mikey with me next time because we can walk some trails and enjoy the beautiful greenery.

eeeekkkk!

I am super excited.

Tomorrow I am taking some of the baby and mommy items that I have made into shops in popular Portland neighborhoods. I have talked to the owners and they are going to display my items in their stores!

Sweet Pea
8235 SE 13th Ave Suite #1
Portland, Oregon 97202

Plue
4431 SE Woodstock Blvd
Portland, Oregon 97206

They take a small percentage of the sales but I think its a reasonable amount and I hope to get my name out there. So I believe its going to be completely worth it.

If your out and about in the areas stop in and check out my stuff!!!

you must be this tall...

We went down to the Portland Waterfront for the Rose Festival yesterday afternoon with my dad, Grandpa David.
Lila had SO much fun. She played games, ate ice cream and snow cones, listened to live music with her grandpa and got to play in the fountain. She even got to miss her nap. She ended up being quite the pill later that evening but that is a whole different blog post...

We were pretty bummed that she couldn't ride any kiddy rides though.

But we did manage to get this shot of her :)

I will post more pictures soon...

ACK! Horses!!

This morning we got to visit the Portland Mounted Police Stables in SW Portland.
First off, I want to tell you that I am terrified of horses. The large ones. I almost didn't take Lila to see them just because I wanted to stay indoors away from them. But I sucked it up because Lila shouldn't suffer because I am nuts.

We ended up having a lot of fun. I will explain the pictures as I go....

The picture below is of "Montavilla's" sleeping quarters. They sleep in bark dust and eat grain and hay. BORING!! This is a horse (I can't remember his name) getting his exercise. This is another horse that is doing the same rounds as the previous one. But this one scared me. He was bigger and he was a show off. When we were all standing around he would kick a little and get vocal and then look to make sure that we were watching. Too bad I ran as quick as I could as soon as he came around...This is all the kids in our group. These are the kids that Lila plays with on most Tuesdays. I could name them all off but I wont :)This great picture is obviously Lila and I NEXT to the horse. She wouldn't let me put her down and I wanted so badly a picture of Lila next to a horse. SO I threw on a quick fake smile and got up close. ACK! And this poster here is some interesting facts that I thought I should share. I didn't really pay attention to mounted patrol let alone realize what all they did. Thanks Claudia and Portland Mounted Patrol for letting us get a tour!!

boo boo

Yesterday early evening while we were out cooking dinner on the BBQ, Lila tripped over the broom and fell face first onto the deck.
Now you ask, why was the broom on the floor!?
She was sweeping and then left it in the middle of the deck. It was only a minute before she came running full speed right onto it.
I feel horrible...

This is officially her first fat lip. It looks worse then she made it out to be. She only cried for a minute tops. I gave her some frozen green beans to suck on which didn't last long because she just ate them. Then she was off to play some more...

pretty bracelet

Yesterday afternoon my little Lila found her baby bracelet. She put it on and wore it for a few hours. That's pretty good considering she loves to take things off then on then off for good.
Here are some pictures of her wearing her pretty bracelet in the backyard.
NOTICE she has her right arm up in every picture because she doesn't want it to fall off.
So smart!!

P.S.
The weather here is gorgeous and will be this way for the next few days. Hope everyone is enjoying the sun shine!!

funny

This morning Lila was walking around the house with our house phone. I guess at some point she must have pushed the talk button because she started talking to someone! I asked her who she was talking to and she said Grandma. I looked at her suspiciously and then grabbed the phone. It was the automated lady saying "If you would like to make a call, please hang up and try again." I thought it was so funny that she thought it was her Grandma!!

♥Then another Lila moment cracked me up after she woke up from her nap...
We were walking into the kitchen and I asked her what she thought we should have for dinner.
"Uuuummmm, PIZZZA!"
Exact words.

Being she is only 22 months old I wasn't expecting her to give me a real response. But she did! I think the funniest thing about it was that it was so random.
I love that she cracks me up like that!!
Guess what were having for dinner??!!

eggs and what?

My darling daughter and wonderful husband made me breakfast this morning for mothers day. She was very excited to scramble the eggs and to pop the toast in the toaster. Here she is whisking the eggs. And yes...that is a bit of snot running down her face. Its a good thing were family!

It's official!

Mikey got promoted at work!
He is now the Branch Manager at the East Side branch instead of the branch in Parkrose. He has been at the new branch for 2 weeks now but I was told not to blog about it because it was not "official" yet. But now it is!
Yes, it's the same title but he has a lot more responsibilities because it is a much bigger branch. And its closer to home!! YIPPEE!

Hooray for Mikey!!

We are very proud of you and we love you.

and Lila too!

makeover time

This site is SO cool. I just had to share with all of you.
Its a virtual makeover! I have been messing with it for hours now...
Change your hair, foundation, mascara, lipstick and tons more.
You can even change your eye color!
And the bonus?
You don't have to give them any information!!
Just upload a photo of your beautiful face and let the fun begin...
ENJOY!

OUCH

UGH.
That's all I can say...
Lila is teething right now. It's so sad BUT so pathetic at the same time when she follows me around the house pulling at my shirt or jeans whining. "UP momma, UP." She is miserable and I am sure in pain. But I have given her the teething tablets and the Tylenol and I hold her when she asks...But it doesn't help.
She is hating life right now and so do I.
Does anyone have any good remedies for those stinkin 2 year molars?

ikea

This weekend we took Lila to IKEA. We originally went to purchase a tunnel for her to play with but we got sidetracked when we saw the ADORABLE table and chairs for tinys.
Yes, we broke down and bought it. It is the perfect size for her and she can eat, color and read at this table for years to come!
Check out Lila and her daddy eating dinner :)

May Day Zoo Trip

We had a lot of fun at the Zoo today. Her favorite animal was the Zebra. She was so excited to see him. She didnt want to leave!

The elephant was alittle scary for her. He is just so BIG. But I got a really cute picture of her hiding behind my leg.

The sea lions were pretty neat. They put on a show while we were there. Lila gripped my finger tight when they got really close to the glass but she loved it.

And last but not least she loves running around when we were supposed to be eating lunch. We sat at the grassy area and she played most of the time.
