Yesterday, while I was cleaning the kitchen, Lila played in her room. I usually keep her closet closed but I had forgotten to do that this time. Her favorite thing to get into while in the closet is her shoes. Which she calls "ssshhh". Well when I had left her she had on her bunny slippers and when I got back in-1 min later- she had taken one of them off and had on a size 5 croc! She is in a size 3 right now so it was pretty big on her :)
I thought it was so cute...I ran for my camera and boom...NO BATTERIES.
You will have to take my word for it, it was adorable!

our fun weekend

Saturday we got invited to spend the day with my family at Oaks Park for my sister's company picnic/birthday party for Evan. We had a fun time. Tracy and I actually rode the "rock n' roll". Ouch...that hurt. Our stomach's were aching for some time afterwards. And I thought for sure that Evan was going to loose his lunch. But it was a fun time. We got those pictures that you take in the booths. All of us girls crammed in one and squished our faces together to all get in. They surprisingly turned out pretty cute. Lila had a hard time figuring out where to look but she got one or two cute smiles in. She got to ride the big pink slide with her daddy. He was more nervous then she was!
Lila took 3 steps all by herself this weekend. They were small steps but none the less they were without help! I got some of it on video but I need to work out some kinks before I post it. Look for it sometime this week :)
I also got her on video this morning eating applesauce completely independently. Yes sir, she had the spoon and was scooping it out of the bowl and trying so hard to get it in her mouth. She did really good actually for her first time. Luckily I got a bib on her just in the nick of time!!

update

Lila is teething like crazy. She is getting her first molars in right now. They are about ready to break thru but no luck yet. Just a whole lot of drooling. These days all she does is chew on her hand. Poor girl...I bet it hurts!

Still no walking yet-but we practice all the time. She has her moments where I think she is going to start running but then she hits the ground and crawls. I keep telling Mikey that I am ready for her to walk. He just looks at me like I am crazy...

Last Tuesday we had family pictures taken by a woman named Maricar.
She takes amazing pictures! I was told that it would take about 10 days for our pictures to be ready to look at. I will let you know where to find them as soon as I find out. I cant wait!! Thanks pop pop and grandma hope :)
